Focus on championship over BPC; Magnolia tries to rise
Williams and the TNT Tropang Giga are 2-0 ahead in the title series, but noted that work is not done as they try to hold off Magnolia in the best-of-seven series. The 29-year-old rookie is fourth in the BPC race.
“We are in the position to compete for the championship. That’s the ultimate goal. The only goal I have is to win a championship. I’m just glad that I compete for that,” said Williams.
This time Victolero has Abueva.
BPC in the 2016 Commissioner's Cup, Abeva leads the statistical points but says that’s not the priority.
“’Yung mga stats na ’yun, hindi mo napapansin na ganun na stats mo pero ang No. 1 mong gusto talaga, mapunta sa finals and get the trophy. ‘Yun ang No. 1 doon,” said Abueva.
Sangalang, third in the BPC race after the semifinal round behind NorthPort’s Robert Bolick, said the main goal was to make it all the way to the top after runner-up finishes in 2018 and 2019.
Robert Bolick to the Japan B.League?
Robert Bolick's contract with Northport i expiing at the end of the season.
THE movement of players from the Philippines to the Japan B.League isn’t over, according to sources.
Like Standhardinger, Bolick's three-year contract which he signed with NorthPort after being picked No. 3 overall in the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft is expiring at the end of the PBA season and both have yet to sign contract extensions.
That means Standhardinger and Bolick will be free to sign with Japan teams if they wish so in time for the B.League playoffs.
