FOR the second time in under two years, Choco Mucho ace Aduke Ogunsanya has suffered an ACL tear that will sideline her for 'nine to 12 months' — effectively ruling her out for the rest of the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

The Flying Titans broke the difficult news on Saturday morning, over two weeks since Ogunsanya's injury in Choco Mucho's season-opening win over Nxled.
"After the latest round of medical tests, the doctors diagnosed Aduke (Ogunsanya) to have injured her ACL and other structures in her left knee last February 22, 2024, in the game versus NXLED," said Choco Mucho in a media statement.
"This injury will require surgery and 9-12 months of rehabilitation before she can make a comeback."
Back in July 2022, Ogunsanya tore her right ACL in the 2022 PVL Invitationals against Black Mamba-Army just six months into her Choco Mucho career and under the exact same circumstance with how she obtained her latest injury — through an awkward fall from a block attempt.
The Flying Titans' middle blocker, also in identical fashion at the FilOil EcoOil Centre, grimaced in pain but stood right back up before being assisted back to the bench.

Ogunsanya returned to action from her first ACL injury in November of last year and was part of Choco Mucho's breakthrough silver-medal finish in the 2023 Second All-Filipino Conference.
For the remainder of the year, Ogunsanya joins ace spiker Des Cheng in the team's injury list. Cheng is also on the mend from an in-game ACL tear she suffered on her right knee last October.
"We are disheartened by this unfortunate development, considering Aduke had just fully recovered from her previous injury and is making a strong return.
"We are, however, confident in her resilience and spirit to overcome this challenge once again."
