HANOI – Johann Chua and Carlo Biado will once again figure in a battle for the 31st Southeast Asian Games gold medal after arranging another all-Filipino final this time in the men’s 10-ball singles.
Chua defeated Aloysius Yapp of Singapore, 9-3, while Biado defeated Shank Aslam Sayed of Singapore in their own semifinal to replicate their finals showdown in the centerpiece 9-ball event which the former won.

Chua and Biado will battle on Saturday, on the same day that Rubilen Amit and Chezka Centeno will fight it out for the women’s 10-ball final at the Ha Dong Gymnasium.
The two guaranteed gold medals means the Philippine billiards team will bring home four gold medals from the Vietnam Games, matching the same output in the 2019 Games back home.
Chua beat Biado, 9-6, in the men’s 9-ball singles finals last Wednesday to win the first SEA Games gold of his career.
The Philippines is the defending champion of the men’s 10-ball singles with Dennis Orcollo capturing the event at the Manila Hotel Tent.
