VANESSA Sarno bombed out of the women's 71-kilogram division of women's weighlifting at the 2024 Paris Olympics after failing to lift 100kg in the snatch.
The No Lifts in all three attempts in the snatch eliminated the 20-year-old Sarno in what turned out to be a brief Olympic debut.

The DNF (Did Not Finish) was a surprise and disappointing finish for the Filipina lifter, who registered impressive performances in the run-up to the Games.
Sarno placed fourth during the International Weightlifting Federation Olympic Qualfication Ranking when she lifted 249 kilograms, the best among the Asian competitors.
She also submitted an entry total of 250 kilograms before the competition at the South Paris Arena, which was within the medal range.
During the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia last year, she set a new meet record by lifting 105kg in the snatch.
Nerves, however, appeared to be evident during Sarno's Olympic debut after she failed to lift 100 kilograms.
With the close of the Philippines' campaign in weightlifting in the Paris Games, there will be no repeat of Hidilyn Diaz's historic gold medal win in Tokyo in 2021 and silver in Rio De Janeiro in 2016.
Sarno suffered the same fate as John Ceniza, who was also a DNF in the men's 61kg in his first Olympics.
Elreen Ando had a more respectable showing for the Philippines after placing sixth with a total of 230kg, while also notching a personal best in the clean and jerk by lifting 130.
