JOHN Ceniza made an early exit at the start of the Philippines campaign in the weightlifting competitions of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ceniza tallied a no lift in all three attempts at 125 kilograms in the men's 61kg division of the snatch.
With him as a DNF (did not finish), Ceniza did not gain an entry in the clean and jerk in a flat start for the weightlifting team which was coming off a gold medal win by Hidilyn Diaz in the Tokyo Olympics three years ago.
Li Fabin of China grabbed the gold medal with a total of 310 kilograms after a 143 in the snatch and 167 in the clean and jerk.
Silachai Theerapong of Thailand took the silver with a total lift of 303 kilograms (132 in snatch and 171 in the clean and jerk), while Hampton Morris of the United States got the bronze with a total of 298 (126 in the snatch and 172 in the clean and jerk).
