“Bata pa lang talaga ako, mga 12 years old, namulat na ako sa computer games,” a smiling OhMyV33nus tellls SPIN.ph. She remembers what kind of life she had before she ventured into esports, and what she remembers is that she mostly played games.

What Baloyskie said to OhMyV33nus after Blacklist won M3
OhMyV33nus was just 12 years old when she started dreaming of a career in esports.

“Noong kasagsagan ko sa League of Legends days eh, talagang esports na yung pinaka gusto kong pasukin pero inabot ako ng mga 7 to 8 years na nagko-compete ako sa League of Legends pero hindi ko makamit. Hindi ako makapasok sa pro scene.”
In the end, OhMyV33nus applied for work at a call center where she was assigned as a back-end support for gaming-related queries.
“Hindi ko kinaya mag-esports kaya nag-apply ako sa call center about gaming, gano'n, ito na rin naman yung specialty ko, might as well na iyon din yung pasukin ko.”
Little did she know that fate would throw her into esports where she would meet her life partner, Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario.
Fate’s name was Dlar.
According to OhMyV33nus, it was Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera who really brought the two closer together through their team, Dream High, whose roster would eventually be hired by ONIC Philippines.
The photo below shows a cramped bedroom with a triple-decker bunk bed. This room served as Dream High’s boot camp, where they practiced nearly 18 hours a day.

With OhMyV33nus, Wise, and the rest of Dream High’s roster, the team would dominate the amateur scene in the Philippines, winning tournaments all over Luzon for a meager prize of P5,000.
When OhMyV33nus disappeared from home to live in a boot camp, her grandmother assumed she was spending time at computer shops playing games. But she was playing for her life.
OhMyV33nus was raised by his grandmother. Her mother started working in Japan when OhMyV33nus was only 9 years old. In a rare glimpse into the Estes aficionado's personal life, OhMyV33nus shares why she rarely flexes her splurging on material things.
For OhMyV33nus, everything has been for family. When we asked her why she was so frugal and did not flex the things she buys, she revealed that much of her expenses go to supporting her family in the Philippines.
With a faint smile, she inadvertently reveals what millions of Filipinos also go through, denying luxuries for themselves just to buy things for their families.
We asked.
“Hiling nila… pera.” she laughs.
But she also reveals a guilty pleasure that many gamers also do.
Ganoong level. Pagdating sa game, doon ako medyo gumagastos.”
There was a time when OhMyV33nus almost left everything behind to chase an unknown future in a foreign land.

In a previous interview with Dlar, he revealed that there were weeks when they would only have 2 hours of sleep because they kept on grinding—practicing various heroes with each other and plotting scrimmages with other teams. The team got so strong, they got banned in various local tournaments when their names gathered repute.
In Season 4 of the Mobile Legends Professional League in the Philippines, OhMyV33nus together with the team qualified for the prestigious tournament. That single moment in esports history changed the life of OhMyV33nus forever.
“Ayun nga, sinuwerte kami nakapasok sa MPL.”
At that time, V33’s mother and sister were trying their best to convince her to move to Japan with them and start a new life. Esports was still largely unheard of in 2019, but V33 decided to stay. His sister even offered to pay for his visa application, but OhMyV33nus told her to hold it off.
“Yeah, actually,” V33nus answers before suppressing a laugh.
As much as possible, hangga’t kaya pang maglaro at mag-compete, gagawin namin.”
The fear of losing esports and streaming is always at the back of the minds of OhMyV33nus and Wise, which is why they started investing in things that would sustain them in the long run.

As the franchise player of Blacklist International, OhMyV33nus has her share of millions of supporters and a lot of bashers that come with fame. Her antidote for toxic people: A little bit of empathy.
But that’s not to say OhMyV33nus will back down on a necessary fight.
For example, yung sa Diggie ban.
Diggie, which is one of the main heroes of OhMyV33nus in Mobile Legends, was banned during the MPL-PH Season 11 Playoffs because of an in-game bug.
But for V33, some things, no matter how horrendous, you need to walk away from. Some of the most distasteful comments against her are homophobic and do not deserve space on any platform. She pretends to ignore them whenever she sees them, but it actually hurts.
May matitira at matitira. Pero ang importante naman, mas may dumadagdag yung sumusuporta sa'yo,” she says, with a defiance in her eyes.
It is not lost in V33 that she is the Philippines’ most prominent member of the LGBT community in esports. She knows that her voice has a very wide impact and carries a lot of weight.
As much as possible, we really extend our patience.”
As one of the world’s most potent Support users in Mobile Legends, OhMyV33nus draws strength from her own personality. Throughout her life, she has been a very supportive friend and kin to people around her. Selflessness is etched in her heart, marked by thousands of things she denied herself just so others may benefit. The best part is all of these will remain a secret to the public.
“Isipin mo yung ibang tao kaysa yung sarili mo.
