AS THE regular season comes to an end, the MPL shoutcasters have hinted on Twitter who should win as the MVP.
They clearly hint that Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna is their choice for the award.
With shoutcasters having a say in the MVP votings, it's possible for her to finally secure an individual accolade, something which has been long overdue.
Is OhMyV33nus worthy of the MVP award?
To answer this question, if we're looking at the overall impact, there is a strong case for V33nus to bag the award.
Her return has spurred the resurrection of Blacklist International from their abysmal Season 9 campaign to a top-seeded finish in Season 10.
In most her games, her impact was heavily felt, which was further highlighted with her performances against ECHO PH in the crucial season finale.
Now let's take a look at the overall criteria for MVP voting. According to Moonton, there are factors that would decide the MVP race, namely:
1) The player should be at top two teams
2) Won weekly MVP honors
3) Has excellent player data
4) Has clearly outstanding performance in the team
5) Has no serious violations
Unfortunately as of now, V33nus has never won a weekly MVP honor award, though We'll still have to wait for the final announcement for Week 8.
However, her assist stats could make her standout. Currently, she ranks first with 288 total assists in the regular season, a sizeable lead over her rivals, Ralph "Rapidoot" Adrales (219) and Dylan "Light" Catipon (213).
She even has the highest average assists at 9.93, above Light's 8.52.
And her match MVP awards would ultimately make her an outstanding performer.
While there's is a strong case for her to win the regular season MVP, there have been other noteworthy contenders. Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno also comes to mind, given how he has recently evolved his game.
