TNT gov Ricky Vargas, Converge team governor Archen Cayabyab sign papers for one-on-one deal submitted to the PBA for approval by the trade committee

Top TNT and Converge officials have finally sealed the one-on-one trade involving Fil-foreign players Mikey Williams and Jordan Heading.
PBA chairman Ricky Vargas of the Tropang 5G and Converge governor Archen Cayabyab signed the trade papers which were submitted to the PBA office just before close of office hours on Wednesday.

Both parties don't see any hindrances to the trade that will now await the approval of Commissioner Willie Marcial and his trade committee.
It was supposed to be a 2 in 1 deal that would have Converge throwing another of its player along with Heading to TNT for the 33-year-old Williams.
But both teams later agreed to settle for a one-on-one trade to lessen the complications.
The TNT move comes in the wake of frustrating negotiations on Williams’ supposed return to the TNT roster after an almost two-year sabbatical.
Williams, a former Rookie of the Year and two-time Finals MVP, last played for TNT during the title series against Barangay Ginebra in the 2023 Governors' Cup.

Heading meanwhile, was acquired by Converge from Terrafirma in a mid-season trade for Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and a first round pick in the Season 51 draft.
The Fil-Australian though, didn't play a single game with the Dyip as a Gilas special draftee and made his PBA debut with Converge during the Commissioner's Cup.
Heading had an impressive first conference with the FiberXers until a back injury slowed him down during the quarterfinals series against Rain or Shine.
He hasn't played for Converge this conference, but has since already the team in light practices, according to team insiders.
