Heading's arrival is expected to accelerate the growth of Converge, which, after a three-win campaign in Season 48, made the playoffs of the season-opening PBA Governors' Cup under Franco Atienza, Charles, Tiu, and Rajko Toroman.

Together with No. 1 pick Justine Baltazar who will join Converge at the end of Pampanga's campaign in the MPBL, Heading will add firepower to a young core that includes Justin Arana, Schonny Winston, and Alec Stockton.

“Hopefully, I can work on something now. Yeah, it’s a great league. I love to play here, so let’s see what happens. There are some talks here and there. But Terrafirma has my rights, so we’ll leave it at that,” Heading said during the October 27 interview.
