HELP is coming the way of Tim Cone and Barangay Ginebra starting the PBA Season 49.
As the Kings fell short of making the Philippine Cup finals, Cone is looking forward to having the beloved Justin Brownlee back in a Ginebra uniform as he suits up in the season-opening Governors’ Cup.
“If we can get a healthy Justin (Brownlee) back next conference, we have something to look forward to,” said Cone.

After being stricken out of the league calendar for Season 48, the Governors’ Cup is making a return for the coming new season with a height limit of 6-foot-6 among imports.
Brownlee last played for the Kings during the Governors’ Cup Finals in Season 47, where he and the Kings lost out to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and the TNT Tropang Giga in six games of the best-of-seven title series.
Prior to his Ginebra return, the naturalized 35-year-old player will be playing for Pelita Jaya Basketball Champions League Asia. Brownlee and his Indonesian club team will be going to Dubai on June 8 for the week-long tournament.
After which, the three-time Best Import will catch a flight to Manila and join Gilas Pilipinas for its preparation for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia from July 2-7.

After a few weeks of rest, it’s on to the PBA for Brownlee as the league eyes an August kickoff for Season 49.
Brownlee is not the only help coming for Ginebra as injured players Jamie Malonzo (calf), Jeremiah Gray (ACL), and Aljon Mariano (ankle) are also expected to join the team during the course of the season.
Mariano could be back by the start of the new season, while Malonzo and Gray are projected to be healthy and good to play just before the end of the year.
