JUSTIN Brownlee capped the first round of the Basketball Champions League Asia qualifiers with 18 points to help Pelita Jaya beat Singaporean team Adroit Club, 82-64, on Saturday in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Brownlee also had six rebounds as Pelita Jaya swept the first round with a 3-0 win-loss record in Group B. The Indonesia ballclub had already secured a place in the second round when it defeated Ulaanbaatar Broncos, 89-83, last Thursday.
JaQuori McLaughlin had 25 points and seven assists for Pelita Jaya, which will now play in the second round from April 23 to 25 in Jakarta.
Pelita Jaya will look to capture a place in the tournament proper alongside the champions of the Japan B.League, Chinese Basketball Association, and the Korean Basketball League as well as a representative from the PBA.
