CHRIS Ross can heave a sigh of relief as doctors have ruled out an ACL injury in his right knee.
San Miguel team manager Gee Abanilla said an MRI revealed the veteran guard suffered a contusion in his right knee during the Beermen's PBA Season 47 Philippine Cup match last Friday against Magnolia.

Ross looked deeply worried after sustaining an injury while going for a lay-up without contact. Teammates had to assist Ross on his way to the dugout at the Ynares Center, although the San Miguel’s ace defender stayed on to finish the game.
Fears of a possible ACL injury were allayed after the result of the MRI.

“Intact naman ang ACL ni Chris. Nagkaroon lang ng bone-to-bone contusion at maga pa rin,” said Abanilla.
“Kailangan pa ng strengthening but it’s good that it’s not as serious as we thought,” said Abanilla.
Still, Ross is expected to miss some time as he recovers from the injury. San Miguel will play Barangay Ginebra on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Ross is averaging 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.7 steals, tied for second in the league along with teammate CJ Perez.
