WITH EVOS pulling out of the plug in the Philippine MLBB esports scene and with rumors swirling around that Minana will disband after Season 13, things are now official as the team made their announcement.

After a promising Season 13 campaign, which saw the Hukbo secure their very first playoff berth, Minana will now part ways with the MPL Philippines.

"Minana and EVOS have made the difficult decision together that we will no longer participate in the MPL, resulting in the release of the current roster," the post started.

"While we are both proud of what the team has achieved during our time together, we feel it’s best to focus our future efforts separately."

What's next for Minana?

Does this mean that Minana will now disappear? The org highlighted that they have plans in the Philippines.

"From a Minana perspective, while we won’t be participating in the MPL next season we remain dedicated to the gaming community in the Philippines and will continue to invest in other initiatives that we feel will positively contribute to the community. We look forward to sharing more with you all soon."

On his official Facebook post, Minana's Julius "Banoobs" Mariano bid his farewell to the team. He even hinted that the players he handled are now with different teams.

"Sa lahat ng naging players and coaching staffs ko, mami-miss ko kayong lahat," he said.

"Huwag sana kayo makalimot at sumuko para ipaglaban yung nasimulan natin. Masaya ako na kadamihan ng nahawakan kong players ay may bagong team na."

Minana's entrace into the MPL was full of hype given the team's prowess in the amateur scene. Things started slow as the team struggled to adjust to the pros.

A few seasons later, Minana made their statement by punching a ticket to the MPL playoffs, though they were eventually eliminated by Blacklist International in a close first round battle.

Their exit from the MPL could mean the arrival of Aurora Esports or RRQ Kaito, two teams rumored to enter into the local professional scene.
