ROSE Jean Ramos bagged two gold medals and one silver once again in the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Youth World Championships in Leon, Mexico.
The 16-year-old Ramos won the total with 155 kilograms, and the clean and jerk with 85 kilograms in the women’s 49kg division. She got a silver in the snatch with 70 kilograms, missing the sweep by just one kilogram from Kerlys Maria Montilla Madrid of Venezuela.
Ramos repeated her feat in 2021 when she also captured two golds in the total and snatch and silver in the clean and jerk with a total of 147 kilograms in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Last year she lifted 67 in the snatch and 80 in the clean and jerk.
It was another feat for the Ramoses as Rose Jean’s sister Rosagie was coming off a bronze medal finish in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.
