DEJA VU has struck University of Sto. Tomas in the worst way possible.
Angge Poyos twisted her right ankle after a bad landing in the second set of Game One of the UAAP women's volleyball finals between UST and top seed National University.
WATCH:
The Tigresses' leading scorer landed on the foot of her teammate Em Banagua and was taken back to the bench to receive medical attention.

A walking boot was placed in Poyos' right foot and she never returned in a game that the Tigresses lost in straight sets to the Lady Bulldogs.
Poyos' ankle issue is reminiscent of a Finals setback that UST had to deal with five years ago when Eya Laure suffered an ankle sprain in Game 2 of the Season 81 Finals versus Ateneo.
Albeit not at a hundred percent, Laure returned to the winner-take-all Game Three but couldn't save UST from Ateneo's late-series resurgence to win the Season 81 championship in three games.
A UST staff member told SPIN.ph that the Tigresses coaches and medical team are still assessing whether Poyos will be fit to return for Game Two.
