"As a friend, i'm sorry sa nangyari," said Gagate.
The Lady Spikers are a win away from ending their five-year title drought, scoring a 18-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13 victory in the first match of the best-of-three series against the defending champions on Sunday.
"Na-feel bad ako kasi hindi ko naman yun sinasadya. Sana lang hindi super masama yung injury niya and magpagaling na."

Gagate was the second top scorer for La Salle with 17 points on 12 attacks and four blocks.
NU's physical therapist shrugged off any concern over Toring's status.
"So far, intact naman, goods naman. So ngayon, depende kung gaano kabilis iyong response sa rehab. Pero, so far, okay naman siya. Nothing serious naman," said athletic trainer Dwight Demayo.
The teams will have a week-long rest before squaring off on May 14 at Mall of Asia Arena.
