ALYSSA Solomon wrapped up her debut season in the Japan SV.League with a silver medal, as Osaka Marvelous fell short in the finals against Saga Hisamitsu Springs.
Osaka yielded the championship via two-game sweep, dropping a five-set thriller in Game 1, 21-25, 26-28, 25-19, 25-22, 10-15, before absorbing a straight-sets defeat, 20-25, 23-25, 14-25, in Game 2.

They were unable to replicate last season’s championship run that featured Jaja Santiago, now known as Sachi Minowa, as one of its key pillars.
Solomon was sidelined in both finals matches, but had already carved out a solid role heading into the playoffs.

The 24-year-old opposite hitter saw action in 30 regular season games, tallying 140 points built on 116 attacks, 27 blocks, and four aces.
Her stint with Osaka, however, is headed to a close as Solomon was listed among seven players set to depart at the end of the 2025-26 season, leaving her next move up in the air.
Whether she stays in Japan, explores other overseas opportunities or returns home to join the 2026 PVL Rookie Draft remains uncertain.
For now, Solomon stays in the national team picture, having been named to the initial 27-player Alas Pilipinas Women pool, pending final alignment and acceptance of invites, as the program gears up for upcoming international competitions.
