RISA Sato allayed speculations of an eventual Chery Tiggo exit just six months since leaving Creamline to join the Crossovers.
In a pair of Instagram stories, Sato shared photos of her with her fellow Crossovers which had brief yet reassuring messages on her immediate future.

“Can’t wait to get back. Miss [you guys]! I’ll be back soon,” the 30-year-old Fil-Japanese middle blocker wrote.
Sato left the Cool Smashers late last year where she opted not to renew her contract with the team after a six-year run.
There, she became the PVL’s most decorated player ever with 12 championships to her name — 10 with Creamline, one with Balipure and one with National University.
Sato rang in the new year by confirming her move to Chery Tiggo roughly two months into the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Since her sought-after duel against Creamline last Mar. 18, Sato no longer saw action for Chery Tiggo for reasons unknown.
She was even scratched off the Crossovers’ 20-woman PVL on Tour roster, with rookies Baby Jyne Soreño, Renee Peñafiel and Reyann Canete added to the preseason squad.
Asked about Sato’s absence, Chery Tiggo head coach Norman Miguel minced his words during the team’s unbeaten trip to Montalban, Rizal.
“Sorry pero I’m not in the right position to say something about that. Siguro, wag na lang muna,” Miguel said.
At least for now, taking Sato’s word for it, the three-time PVL best middle blocker isn’t about to drive away anytime soon.
