REGINE Diego took full responsibility for F2 Logistics' disheartening first loss to Petro Gazz on Thursday in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference.

On top of holding herself accountable, Diego raised an essential plea to fans after an emotional battle for both sides.
"Don’t bash the players, akin 'yun," Diego said on Twitter.
Shortly after the Petro Gazz loss, Diego addressed the press to explain her stance on how the game went down for the Cargo Movers.
"Well, all in all, I'm going to blame that game on me. There's so many things na dapat in-adjust ko pero hindi ko nagawa. The players were doing the best they could," the F2 coach frankly admitted.
"Siguro mentally, hindi pa sila ganun ka-recovered but mostly, [the loss was] on me," she added.
In her PVL coaching debut during the All-Filipino Conference, the former Lady Spiker led the Cargo Movers to their first pro league podium with a stellar bronze medal finish.
But Diego believes there is still room for her to grow as a coach and to improve her team.
"May learning curve pa ako kasi I’m still new to this. At bigyan din natin ng chance yung mga bata makapag-recover kasi that [five set] game before was super exhausting for all of us, even for Choco Mucho 'di ba," Diego explained.
"We can't be too emotional. I have to make them put a mindset agad-agad and kailangan ko sila i-proseso after nung game last time [sa Choco Mucho]. Hindi sila nakapag-reset and they were stuck on that pagod and exhaustion so proseso lang talaga," she added.
Cignal, F2 Logistics, and Petro Gazz all share a 3-1 (win-loss) slate in Pool B while Choco Mucho (2-1) still has a match at hand.
Only the top two squads alongside Japan's Kurashiki Ablaze, Vietnam's Kinh Bac Bac Ninh, defending champion Creamline, and Pool A's runner-up will advance to the six-team semifinal round in a week's time.
