PETRO Gazz has parted ways with veteran spiker Mich Morente and sophomore setter Donnalyn Paralejas midway through the 2025 PVL on Tour.
The announcement came days before the Angels close out pool play against Choco Mucho in Candon City and days after the shock exit of Japanese head coach Koji Tsuzurabara.

“As your journey with us comes to a close, we look back with deep gratitude for the passion, perseverance, and heart you showed while wearing our colors with pride — fueling our drive throughout the past conferences, all the way to our championship run,” the team wrote on Sunday.

“Wherever the road takes you next, you carry with you our full respect, support, and admiration. Maraming salamat, Momo and Donna!”

Morente spent a year and a half with the Angels following her PLDT exit early last year.
Meanwhile, reserve setter Paralejas no longer had her rookie contract renewed.
She was the 18th overall pick of the 2024 PVL Draft.

The 25-year-old playmaker was entitled to a minimum one-year contract, as mandated by the PVL for second-round draft picks and beyond.
Both Morente and Paralejas were part of Petro Gazz' historic All-Filipino Conference title run and joined the team's subsequent campaign in the 2025 AVC Women's Champions League.
