LOOKS like Bella Belen’s playful ‘recruitment’ in Candon worked wonders after all.
Capital1 landed the services of PVL MVPs Vanie Gandler and Erika Santos in what now shapes up to be a massive roster overhaul heading into the next season.

After spending much of her rookie campaign carrying the bulk of the offensive burden, Belen finds herself backed by an experienced and explosive wing duo capable of transforming the Solar Spikers into a far more dangerous challenger.
Gandler emerged as one of the league’s brightest stars during Cignal’s silver medal run in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference, while Santos rediscovered top form after thriving in the Super Spikers’ system.
SPIN.ph also caught wind that between the two players, one had a late change of heart and was close to signing for another powerhouse team, with the other making a much more decisive move off the bat to join the Capital1.
Bella gets wish granted
Interestingly, the move comes just weeks after Belen made headlines during the All-Star festivities in Ilocos Sur when she was spotted spending extensive time with the Cignal core shortly after news of the Super Spikers’ leave of absence broke.
At the time, the Solar Spikers rookie jokingly teased how the blue-and-yellow shades of the All-Star jerseys seemed to suit the Cignal stars well, even hinting that they might look good in Solar Spikers' colors, too.
Turns out, there was some truth behind the jokes.
Now, instead of building solely around Belen’s brilliance, Capital1 suddenly boasts of one of the deepest offensive arsenals in the league.
And for a franchise eager to accelerate its rise in the PVL, there may not have been a bigger offseason statement than this.
