MONTALBAN, Rizal — Capital1 and ZUS Coffee’s Montalban leg finale in the PVL on Tour on Sunday had a rather unusual start.
The first set began with the Solar Spikers already up by one point, 1-0, before the first ball was even served.

Why?
Before the match, the Thunderbelles were given a red card for wearing the wrong uniforms.
ZUS Coffee was supposed to wear white-colored kits, which weren’t available yet for the team at the time.
As a result, both teams took the court with identical blue-colored uniforms.

The Thunderbelles do have a third uniform option, that being their all-black kits.
However, they already wore their black uniforms in their PVL on Tour opener on Saturday in the same venue where they lost in five sets to Akari.
It would then be ruled that the consequence for the red card was a one-point penalty.
In the end, Capital1 made good use of that one-point boost as it took the first set at 25-20 over ZUS Coffee.
However, it was the Thunderbelles who had the final say, winning, 20-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-18, 15-15-11.
