“The Akari Chargers welcome decorated outside spiker Grethcel Soltones. More firepower and championship experience. Let's light it up, Lady Beast,” wrote the Chargers.

Soltones was a core member of the Angels' second and most recent PVL championship to date in the 2022 Reinforced Conference.
The next chapter of her pro career, however, brings her to a young squad on the rise featuring highly-touted college standouts like Faith Nisperos, Fifi Sharma, Trisha Genesis, and Justine Jazareno.
But Soltones' veteran championship pedigree alongside fellow PVL champion Dindin Santiago-Manabat will prove to be a much-needed sparkplug ahead of the club's new era under a soon-to-be named head coach after Jorge Souza de Brito's resignation.
In four PVL conferences to date, Akari recorded its best-ever campaign in last year's season ending All-Filipino Conference after finishing seventh with five wins and six losses — a promising campaign the Chargers look to build on, moreso with the addition of a high-caliber talent like Soltones.
