WILMA Salas is back in the Philippines, but not for a third stint with Petro Gazz.
Instead, the former PVL best foreign guest player will don a different shade of red as part of PLDT's 2025 AVC Women's Champions League squad.

The 6-foot-2 Cuban spiker arrived in the Philippines last night and will join team training just 10 days before the week-long Asian meet for two spots in the 2025 FIVB Women's Club World Championship goes underway at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

Salas, 34, had two prior stints with Angels in the 2019 and 2024 Reinforced Conferences.
Her PVL debut was a special one, as she led Petro Gazz to the franchise's first league championship by downing Creamline in the finals in three games.
Five years later, she returned to the Angels, but would finish only in sixth-place after being eliminated by the Cool Smashers in the knockout quarterfinals.

There, she ranked second overall in spiking (38.16 percent efficiency) and eighth in the league in scoring (171 points; 24.43 per game).
Savi, Salas to lead PLDT charge
In a week's time, Salas looks to bring back her winning ways with the High Speed Hitters along with Fil-Canadian spiker Savi Davison.
She led the league in scoring in record fashion in prelims play with 296 points in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference — the most in PVL history.

This time around, Salas, Davison and the rest of PLDT will begin their quest for regional supremacy in Pool D of the regional conclave with six-time Thai champion Nakhon Ratchasima QminC and two-time Australian champion Queensland Pirates.
