"Talagang nag contribute yung mga players. Happy kami sa game na to na nakuha namin yung panalo," head coach Sherwin Meneses said as Creamline cruised to a 2-0 record in Pool A.
The Defenders actually led in early the first set 7-5, but the Cool Smashers were quick to gain momentum, pounding on the newcomers who only scored a total of 25 attacks, two blocks and three aces in the match.
Justine Dorog and Andrea Marzan led the Defenders with team-high six points apiece.
