As listed in the league’s official website, the Rebisco sister teams will close out the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference single-round robin semifinals on Apr. 3, Saturday, 6:30 p.m. at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Preceding that match in the 4 p.m. slate will be Akari against the winner of the Petro Gazz-ZUS Coffee rubber match on Tuesday.

The 18th all-time matchup between Creamline and Choco Mucho in Antipolo could be a decisive matchup in terms of breaking potential ties in the standings.

It might just determine whether Creamline will make its 14th PVL Finals appearance or if Choco Mucho can return to the title series for the third time in over a year.

Prior to this oncoming playoff game, the fan favorites have played an out-of-town game two years before the PVL’s pro league era began.

It was at the City of Smiles in which the two teams played what was only their second-ever PVL head-to-head match in the 2019 PVL Season 3 Open Conference — Choco Mucho’s debut campaign.

Unlike the Cool Smashers’ four-set win in their first meeting two months prior, they’d get the job done over the Flying Titans in straight sets, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16.

The trio of Jema Galanza (16 points), Michele Gumabao (12 points) and Alyssa Valdez (nine points) took chaarge for the Tai Bundit-led side’s 12th straight win at the time in front of 2,450 fans at the University of San Agustin Gym.

Shannen Palec and Kat Tolentino paced the defeat with nine and eight markers, respectively, for a Choco Mucho side still led by now-Petro Gazz head of volleyball operations Oliver Almadro.

With new coaches and more than a few familiar faces, Creamline looks to assert its mastery of Choco Mucho again for what could be their 17th win in 18 head-to-head matches.
