Following Petro Gazz’ eighth win earlier versus Galeries Tower, Chery Tiggo sits atop the table with the Angels alongside Creamline and Choco Mucho at 8-2 (win-loss).
Moreover, all-important victories from the Angels and the Crossovers have knocked sixth-seed Cignal out of semifinal contention.

"Malaking bagay ang panalo namin ngayon kasi target namin na bound to semis. Pero ito, meron pa kami isang game at malaking turning point t'o para sa amin kasi ‘yung Akari anytime pwede bumalik. Luckily nakuha namin ‘yung panalo. It’s a must win para, at least malaki ‘yung chance namin na nandu'n kami sa Final Four," said Chery Tiggo head coach Kungfu Reyes.
"I hope magpatuloy talaga ('yung magandang nilalaro namin) hanggang sa remaining games. 'Yung bond na nabuo namin, sana madala namin hanggang dulo at nakikita naman din siguro, evident siya sa laro na napapakita namin na we got each other’s backs nga talaga," added Eya Laure with a game-high 14 markers built on nine attacks, three blocks and two aces.
Chery Tiggo's superior two-way performance pulled the plug on Akari's chances against the semis-seeking side, with 49 total attacks led by Laure and 50 well-distributed digs which ace libero Jen Nierva had the biggest share of (nine digs) on top of 11 receptions.

Maraño also led four Crossovers who had seven-point outings in the one-hour, 42-minute contest alongside Mylene Paat, EJ Laure and Cza Carandang.
Chery Tiggo has now won both of its out-of-town matches in Sta. Rosa in straight sets against defending champion Creamline and Akari, marking the first and the most recent win in the team's ongoing six-game unbeaten run.
On the flip side, Ezra Madrigal paced the Chargers' sixth defeat of the conference as the lone player in double figures with 10 pointss
Still to come for the Crossovers is their prelims finale versus also-ran Galeries Tower, which they'll have to win to avoid any complications in their path to the semifinals.
