ORANGE is the new red as ex-Cignal stars Ces Molina and Riri Meneses have found a new home in the PVL with Farm Fresh.
It ends a six-month hiatus for the veteran duo that found themselves in hot water after a tumultuous split with the HD Spikers exactly 180 days ago.
READ: Ces Molina, Riri Meneses no longer renewing Cignal contracts
Back in January, the ‘RiCes’ pair bared through their agency Avior Talent Management that they have decided not to renew their Cignal contracts after three years with the team.
Hours after the shock announcement, Cignal issued a statement saying that Molina and Meneses supposedly failed to respond to the team management’s initiation of contract renewal talks in October 2024.

Both their Cignal contracts reportedly expired by the end of last year. As such, they no longer attended team training after the holiday break.
At the time, the team described the situation as a ‘material breach of both players’ contracts.’
SPIN.ph first reported on the eve of the same day that the Frank Lao-backed Strong Group Athletics (SGA) immediately expressed their interest in securing the services of the estranged Cignal duo.
Fueling such speculation is the fact that Avior, Molina and Meneses’ representation, also has SGA-backed players in its stable.

Among their notable talents are Farm Fresh trio Rachel Daquis, Jheck Dionela and Alohi Robins-Hardy along with ZUS Coffee duo Jovelyn Gonzaga and Chai Troncoso.
Other PVL suitors of the ‘RiCes’ duo were said to be Akari, Nxled and Capital1.
Cignal reunion at Farm Fresh
An HD Spikers mini-reunion will now be in the offing as Molina and Meneses join forces again with Daquis, Dionela and Robins-Hardy — as Foxies, this time.
It might not have been an amicable parting of ways, but Molina and Meneses will now close a decorated chapter of their PVL careers before embarking on a new one.

Molina won the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference MVP nod along with two best outside spiker plums to her name, while Meneses bagged the best middle blocker award twice (2022 Open Conference and 2023 Second All-Filipino Conference).
They were also among the catalysts of Cignal’s unprecedented stature as the team with the most combined silver (2) and bronze medal (5) wins in the PVL.
