CHERY Tiggo was ruthless in a season-opening rout of debutant Capital1, 25-6, 25-15, 25-15, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
Ara Galang shone in her first PVL match as a Crossover with 12 points on nine attacks, two aces, and one block.

Former PVL MVP Mylene Paat also had a strong start to her fourth year as a Crossover with 11 attack points in aid of Galang's game-high 12-piece.
In just one hour and 17 minutes, Chery Tiggo ripped Capital1's opening salvo to shreds — topped by the most lopsided single set score (25-6) in the league since Petro Gazz held now-defunct Gerflor to just four points in a set during last year's season-ending All-Filipino Conference.
To make matters worse for the newly-formed Roger Gorayeb-led club, the Solar Spikers only registered a total of two blocks, two aces, and one excellent set, with ex-Nxled ace Jannine Navarro's team-high six points.
