FOTON turned back Gerflor Defenders, 26-24, 13-25, 25-21, 26-24, to finish 11th in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference, on Thursday at the PhilSports arena in Pasig City.
Shaya Adorador delivered on both ends as she produced 22 points and 13 excellent receptions for the Tornadoes, who ended their comeback conference in the pioneering pro league with back-to-back victories.

“Siguro babaunin ko nalang talaga lahat ng magaganda sa susunod pa na games, training, at mas magtitiwala pa ako sa sarili,” said Adorador after finishing the tournament on a high note.
Seth Rodriguez followed suit with 13 points off nine attacks and four blocks.
The Tornadoes bounced back after conceding the second frame, 13-25, taking the two succeeding hard-fought sets.
Foton mentor Brian Esquibel hopes to carry the momentum of back-to-back wins to the succeeding conference.
“Eto yung babaunin namin para pagbutihan pa kung saka-sakaling palarin pa na ituloy ang Foton team. So maganda yung confidence na dadalhin ko at yung mga players,” said Esquibel.
Alyssa Bertolano and Ranya Musa each scored 15 points to lead Gerflor, which failed to get a single win in its debut conference.
