At 3-2 (win-loss), Choco Mucho advanced as the third-seeded team behind Vietnam 1 and Vietnam 2.
The losing team in the battle of both Vietnamese sides will face the PVL side in the knockout semifinals on Friday, 8 p.m. (local time).
Meanwhile, the Korean club ended its prelims run at 1-4.
From blowing a two-set lead on Tuesday to unbeaten host side Vietnam 2, the Flying Titans finally made it to the winning side of a five-set comeback.
Choco Mucho tactician Dante Alinsunurin's strategy to field his second stringers as starters in the first two sets didn't go quite as planned, with Suwon City making quick work of the PVL club for a two-set edge.
As Sisi Rondina & Co. entered the match from the third frame onwards, momentum quickly swung in favor of the Flying Titans as they forced a fifth set tiebreak.
There were no late meltdowns from the Flying Titans as they completed a reverse sweep to lock in a top four finish in their first foreign tournament as a club.
