AFTER being together for nearly a decade from National University to the men's national volleyball team, champion spiker Bryan Bagunas and multi-titled tactician Dante Alinsunurin are parting ways.
The erstwhile leader of the silver medal-winning men's team at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games was dropped from the national program after accepting a Premier Volleyball League (PVL) job as head coach of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.

Bagunas expressed his gratitude to Alinsunurin on Twitter, shortly after the news of the latter's removal from the national team position was announced.

"Isang malaking bakit, pero sobrang proud po ako sayo coach [Dante] sa lahat ng pinagdaanan mo as a head coach ng national team," the two-time UAAP finals MVP said.
"'Di ka sumuko kahit madaming opportunity na dumating sayo. Di mo kami iniwan."
With his immense gratitude to Alinsunurin also comes pride over the successes they have shared - the two won two UAAP championships during their time with the NU Bulldogs - and regret for what still could have been.
"Sayang yung mga plano mo para sa [national team]. Nakakalungkot lang. Pero saludo kami sayo!"
