ODJIE Mamon has been appointed interim head coach of the Philippine men’s volleyball team with Dante Alinsunurin taking the job as Choco Mucho coach.
Mamon will handle the national team until the end of May when Sergio Veloso from Maldives is expected to take over.

Alinsunurin said he was informed by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation earlier this month that he will be replaced as he focuses on other coaching stints. He is also coach of the National University men’s volleyball team.
"Dahil baka maging busy ako [at] 'di ko ma-handle [ang men's team], kinausap ako ng team manager ko sa PNVF na 'yun nga, napag-usapan nila na ibaba nila ako, hindi na ako yung magiging head coach," said the two-time UAAP champion coach.
