FOR La Salle's towering ace Shevana Laput, sky's still very much the limit.

Sans reigning UAAP rookie MVP Angel Canino, the 6-foot-2 Fil-Australian ace led the Taft side's spirited title series fightback for the inaugural Shakey's Super League National Invitationals crown.
And even with a maiden tournament MVP and best opposite spiker nods now under her belt, Laput still sees plenty of room to strengthen her already battle-tested craft.

"It’s definitely been a development but this is not the best me. This is not the best version of myself. There’s definitely gonna be more improvements to come," Laput said.
“It's really great. It's amazing. It's an honor [to win MVP] but I guess this makes me feel like I need to step up even more. I need to work even harder now that there's a 'reputation' kind of thing,” she explained.
With 20.3 points per game on top of a 30-point eruption in their series-opening loss, Laput is primed for a major role in the Lady Spikers' forthcoming title retention bid in UAAP Season 86 next year.
For Laput and the rest of the defending UAAP champions, staying atop the summit of college volleyball will be of utmost priority moving forward.
“Obviously, [we want to be] UAAP champions again. We need to defend the crown and keep it in Taft. We all have to work harder, smarter, [and] puso," Laput asserted.
