PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — The Philippines will again vie for gold medals in obstacle course racing (OCR) after the men’s and women’s team advanced to the finals in the Southeast Asian Games.
The men’s team of Jayr De Castro, Mervin Guarte, Elias Tabac, and Ahgie Radan qualified for the finals of the relay with a clocking of 25.8566 seconds during the eliminations on Wednesday at the OCIC Wedding Center.

The women’s team of Mhick Tejares, Sandi Abahan, Tess Nocyao, and Mecca Cortizano clocked 40.1780 to also reached the finals.
The Philippines will face Malaysia in the men’s and Indonesia in the women’s in the head-to-head finals on Sunday in their campaign supported by the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee.
Jaymark Rodelas and Popoy Pascua, and Precious Cabuya and Kaizen Dela Cerna arranged an all-Philippines final in the men’s and women’s individual 100-meter event on Wednesday.
