HANOI – Carlo Biado defeated Johann Chua, 9-3, to take the gold medal for the Philippines in the men’s 10-ball singles of the 31st Southeast Asian Games at the Ha Dong Gymnasium.
Biado won the last five racks after a tightly-contested all-Filipino match for the country’s fourth gold medal in billiards in this meet.
With the win, Biado captured his first gold of the competition after bowing to Chua in the men’s 9-ball singles, enabling the Philippines to secure its 46th gold.

Earlier, Rubilen Amit took the women’s 10-ball singles crown, defeating Chezka Centeno, 7-5, to give the country two gold medals in billiards on Saturday.
Amit claimed her second gold, adding to the women’s 9-ball title she also won in the competition.
