PHNOM PENH, Cambodia – Cambodia fielded three naturalized players in their first game in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games men’s 3x3 basketball tournament.
The Cambodians won over Thailand, 21-18, with a team composed of Sayeed Pridgett, Brandon Peterson, and Darrin Dorsey, all from the US.

Pridgett wowed not only the home crowd but also the participants that included the Gilas Men 3x3 team that beat Laos, 21-5, in their opening game, with several key baskets in the endgame.
Chances are the three American players will also play in Cambodia’s 5-on-5 team. When asked if the three are playing in 5-on-5, a Cambodian official said “We’ll see.”
A product of Montana, the 6-foot-5 Pridgett plays for ASK Karditsa in the Greek league. He played for the Birmingham Squadron in the NBA G League in 2021.
Peterson, 6-foot-9, is a product of Arkansas State and last played for Comunicaciones Mercedes in the Argentine league.
Dorsey, on the other hand, stands at 6-foot-2, with the 35-year-old having played in Europe, most recently in Poland.
