PHILIPPINE athletes have started to arrive in Hanoi for the 31st Southeast Asian Games.
Athletes from kickboxing and beach handball departed Manila on Monday as their competitions will start on Friday, six days before the SEA Games formal opening rites on May 12.
The Azkals U-23 men’s football team have also arrived in Hanoi from their training camp in Malaysia in time for their opening match on Friday against Timor Leste.
The working group led by chef de mission Ramon Fernandez arrived in Hanoi on May 1.
More athletes will arrive in Vietnam on Friday, with the bulk leaving for Hanoi on Tuesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 11.
