HANOI – The Philippine men’s football team was ousted by Indonesia, 4-0, at the close of their campaign in the 31st Southeast Asian Games at the Viet Tri Stadium.
The Azkals Under-23 finished the tournament at fourth place in Group A with four points after a promising start that saw the team win over Timor Leste, 4-0, and force a draw against reigning champion Vietnam.

The Young Azkals, however, were defeated by Myanmar, 3-2, after squandering a 2-1 lead last Tuesday before the blowout loss to Indonesia.
No Philippine football team has reached the semifinals in the SEA Games since 1991.
