LEVI Ruivivar, Emma Malabuyo, and Aleah Finnegan placed 40th, 41st, and 47th in that order in the women’s all-around of the 2024 Paris Olympics artistic gymnastics competition at the Bercy Arena.
Ruivivar and Malabuyo had identical scores of 51.099 while Finnegan carded 50.498 in the four apparatuses to round out the Philippines’ first participation in women’s gymnastics in 60 years.
Though they missed the final, the Filipina trio remained proud of representing the country, and pleased with experiencing the Olympics that had a star-studded cast led by Simone Biles.

“Today, all my little girl dreams came true! An Olympian for life. I truly enjoyed every single second of today’s competition,” said Finnegan in an interview with LSUsports.net.
“Representing the Philippines at the Olympics is so special, no matter the outcome. These are the moments I’ll carry for the rest of my life,” Finnegan said.
Finnegan was the best placer among the Philippine gymnast in the apparatus, finishing at No. 17 in the vault with a score of 13.383. The two-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist was at No. 37 in the floor exercise with a score of 12.733, No. 58 in the uneven bars with 12.566, and No. 71 in the balance beam.
Malabuyo’s ranking of 25th in the floor exercise was her best effort, registering 13.100 during her performance. The UCLA product finished 57th in the balance beam with a score of 12.233 and 60th in the uneven bars with 12.500.
The youngest among the three gymnasts, Ruivivar was No. 40 in the uneven bars with 13.200, No. 54 in the floor exercise with 12.433, and No. 64 in the balance beam with 11.866.
Ruivivar and Malabuyo were not entered in the vault.
