DESPITE her busy schedule as a mother, business owner, and vlogger, Team Payaman's Viy Cortez makes no excuses when it comes to her health and fitness.
CongTV's fiancee turned heads when she revealed her weight-loss journey from post-partum 94kg to 60kg last year.
While Cortez explained in her vlogs that her first step was control over her food intake, it was in late 2023 when she began going to the gym, and it made a huge difference.
For Viy, it's all credit to her unwavering motivation.
"'Yung pagpapapayat, kasi ikakasal ako, pero 'yung pagg-gym, at nag-start ako ng diet, para sa anak ko kasi gusto ko maging healthy, humaba ang buhay, para paglaki ni Kidlat, yayain niya ako sa kahit anong activity, mapa-basketball, game ako," she told SPIN Life.
Cortez also admitted that when she didn't know where to begin, she didn't hesitate to hire a professional to help her out.
"Sa totoo lang, kaka-start ko lang mag-gym, hindi ko pa alam 'yung mga tawag sa workouts kasi meron naman akong coach na sinusunod, siya ang nagsasabi ng dapat kong gawin everyday," she added.
She reveals she's 11 months into diet control, and six months of being physically active. Viy also enjoys racket sports like tennis and padel.
With her physique, Cortez earned the chance to represent fashion brands, sharing the limelight with other big names like Belle Mariano, Small Laude, Herlene Budol, Dani Barretto, and Melai Cantiveros, who all graced the SHEIN Festival Mall Pop-up opening last Wednesday.
