ALEX Eala just landed her highest place yet in the world rankings.
The Filipina teen tennis sensation is now no. 214 in the most recent update of the Women's Tennis Association rankings.
She climbed 38 places from last October's release, rising up from no. 252.
This is now her career-high record, as she remains the Southeast Asia's top player.
She also the third highest-ranked Filipino in PH tennis history, trailing Cecil Mamiit (ATP no. 72), Eric Taino (ATP no. 122), and Felix Barrientos (ATP no. 170).
Alex Eala readies for more pro tourneys
Alex recently capped off a gallant run at the W80 Poitiers where she reached the semifinals, her best finish in the priced category.
Now resting for a couple of days, Alex is to get back in action this weekend in another pro tournament.
