Rivero went all the way to Bangkok last December to watch - and support - Juliana in the fencing competition of the Southeast Asian Games.

This time, it was Gomez's turn to go to the Smart Araneta Coliseum and watch his boyfriend's team Phoenix Super LPG play Converge last Sunday.

Insiders say it was the first time Juliana was seen at a PBA game to watch Rivero play.
But tongues were wagging on the same day since also there at the Big Dome, albeit at a different time, was Andrea Brillantes, the former girlfriend of Rivero.
Brillantes was there for the second game between Barangay Ginebra and Titan Ultra and reportedly also to promote her upcoming TV series Secret in Prague with Enrique Gil, which she did at halftime.

Some are wondering whether there was a moment when Rivero and Brillantes met at the Big Dome to exchange pleasantries. The answer is, no, said those close to them.

Alas Women pool members yet to receive invites
The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) released on Monday its initial 27-woman shortlist for Alas Pilipinas Women ahead of the 2026 AVC Women’s Cup set in Candon City this June.
However, the rollout raised some eyebrows.
The federation said the pool is not yet final as volleyball officials are still awaiting confirmation from players and approval from their respective clubs.
However, at least two players named in the list told SPIN.ph they have yet to receive a formal invite.
“I haven’t received any [invite],” one of the players bared.
She added that another national team mainstay was also left in the dark.
“Heard from [Alas teammate] na wala rin balita pa sa kanila,” she said.
Despite this, the PNVF maintains that the 27 names form part of an initial pool as it works toward assembling the final lineup for the country’s home campaign in the AVC Women’s Cup. - John Mark Garcia
