“Welcome to the world, our little miracle,” Sato wrote on Sunday.
Messages of love and support poured in for the sporting couple from her closest peers and teammates old and new across the Philippine volleyball community.

Sato first announced her pregnancy on October 4, which also marked her 31st birthday.

Now a month removed from the announcement, the 11-time PVL champion begins her new chapter in motherhood, more than two years into her relationship with MPBL standout and fellow former National University athlete Joson.

Before going public, Sato had already been on an extended absence from the PVL on Tour and Invitational conferences.
The three-time PVL best middle blocker last suited up earlier this year for Chery Tiggo EV, just months after her surprise departure from Creamline following six seasons.
There is no timetable yet for her return, but Sato has vowed to “be back soon” as she continues her post-Cool Smashers career with the Crossovers.
