RISA Sato celebrated her 31st birthday by breaking the surprise news of her first pregnancy.
The most bemedaled PVL player of all time with 11 titles to her name shared her newest life milestone on her social media page.

“Best birthday yet! Grateful for the tiny miracle that makes my heart so full,” Sato wrote on Saturday.
Her soon-to-be husband is MPBL ace and also a fellow ex-National U player in Enzo Joson, who now plays for Basilan.
They have been together as a couple for roughly two years.
Sato has been in the midst of an extended absence from Chery Tiggo duties, with no particular reason cited for missing both the PVL on Tour and Invitational tournaments earlier this year.
In total, she has seen just about two months’ worth of action since joining the Crossovers at the start of 2025.
It was a high-profile move that saw the 11-time champion middle blocker end her six-year tenure with Creamline.
While she did promise to ‘be back soon’ to continue her Chery Tiggo career, Sato is expected to extend an already-indefinite absence, as she prepares to give birth to her firstborn.
Five middle blockers are set to hit the gas for the Crossovers in the 2025 Reinforced Conference in her absence, led by captain Aby Maraño, Pauline Gaston, Imee Hernandez, Seth Rodriguez, and Cza Carandang.
