IN the heart of Ortigas’ growing fitness and lifestyle hub, a new hotel is positioning itself as more than just a place to stay.
Recently launched in Manila, AC Hotel by Marriott Manila officially opened as the first flagship AC Hotel by Marriott property in the Philippines, bringing Marriott International’s design-led hospitality brand closer to the city’s active urban crowd.
Set within the LEED Platinum-certified GLAS tower, the hotel leans into modern and purposeful living, blending European-inspired interiors with amenities tailored for both business travelers and wellness-focused guests. Its 24-hour fitness center and indoor swimming pool on the 57th floor place recovery and movement at the center of the stay, fitting seamlessly into Ortigas’ rise as a destination for fitness events, run clubs, and hybrid work-life lifestyles.
“We prioritized the 24-hour gym access and a decent-sized pool, where laps can be done. It’s part of the standard, we have a required number of equipment to accommodate different workouts,” said general manager Melvyn Angeles.
The hotel’s interiors were led by managing director and interior design director Clarice Anne Yu-Sy, whose approach centered on clean architectural lines, calming palettes, and spaces designed to feel intuitive and restorative.
Dining is also a key part of the experience under executive chef Bonn Reyes, with AC Kitchen serving international and local dishes, while AC Lounge and AC Bar highlight tapas, cocktails, and the brand’s signature AC Gin and Tonic ritual inspired by European cocktail culture.
Beyond leisure, the hotel features 11 meeting and event spaces spanning over 800 square meters, including the AC Grand Ballroom designed for corporate functions, weddings, and large-scale gatherings.
As part of the Marriott International portfolio, the opening strengthens the hospitality giant’s growing presence in the Philippines while introducing a lifestyle-driven hotel experience aimed at modern travelers looking for balance, connection, and convenience within the Ortigas district.
