WITH anything fitness becoming a new bond for many Filipinos, be it run clubs, pickleball hangouts, or hybrid communities, there is a growing interest in documenting the experience.
From tracking personal progress to making a living out of content creation in sports, it has become the norm to give a glimpse of what goes on beyond the activity.
Technology, per se, has become a pivotal part of it.

For those who would like to capture moments without holding a device, or simply stay connected and entertained while moving, Oakley Meta is offering a way to integrate the convenience of technology into an active lifestyle.
Launched globally in 2025, Oakley Meta officially brings its Performance AI glasses to the Philippine market, introducing the Oakley Meta HSTN and Oakley Meta Vanguard, where everyday convenience and elevated content creation find common ground.
The glasses feature hands-free photo and video recording, automatic tracking of pace and heart rate, and voice-activated AI assistance, among other features.
HSTN – A device that moves with you
Designed for athletes and fans alike, the HSTN has a built-in 3K Ultra HD camera, allowing users to capture their point of view hands-free.
It also has open-ear speakers integrated into the frames, allowing users to listen to playlists, podcasts, and other preferred audio.
It also carries an IPX4 water resistance rating, designed to keep up with sweat, moisture, and exposure to splashes.
Vanguard – Built to keep up with the adventure
For those who demand more, the Vanguard takes a more performance-driven approach, built to withstand high speeds, rough conditions, and intense action.
It features a Three-Point Fit system that comes with three replaceable nose pads, including low- and high-bridge options, for a more secure and customized fit that stays in place.
The frames are also engineered to work seamlessly with cycling helmets and hats. They carry an IP67 dust and water resistance rating for an added layer of protection.
Moreover, the glasses allow integration with performance-tracking apps such as Strava and Garmin for real-time monitoring without having to constantly check another device.
For Oakley, the expansion of its collaboration with Meta is rooted in its longstanding belief in pushing the limits of human potential.
"Oakley has always believed in pushing human potential beyond what we think is possible. Expanding Oakley Meta into new markets is about bringing that belief to more people around the world, giving athletes and those who live with the same drive access to technology built to move with them," said Diogo Rejtman Guimarães, vice president of Global Communications and Brand Activation at Oakley.
"With Oakley Meta HSTN and Vanguard, Performance AI becomes part of how they train, compete and experience the world around them."
The Oakley Meta Vanguard carries a suggested entry price of P42,661, while the Oakley Meta HSTN starts at P34,149.
Both models will be available in the Philippines beginning November 10, 2026, at select Oakley stores, G-Force, and Ideal Vision Center stores.
To mark the local launch, consumers can also experience the technology firsthand at the Oakley Meta Experience Zone, an interactive pop-up featuring AI experiences, from November 10 to 16 on the ground floor of Greenhills Mall.
