ALONG the rush of Metro Manila’s busiest roads, where women often move from one responsibility to the next, a rare invitation emerges: to slow down.
In celebration of Women’s Month, “Her Pace, Her Space,” a wellness-focused experience held at Shangri-La Plaza, offers women a moment of pause. The initiative creates a space that reminds them that rest can be just as powerful as the daily grind.
Inside the walkthrough, interactive stations encourage participants to reconnect with both mind and body. Among them is the “Pocket of Pause” exhibition, where visitors can freely journal as a form of mental reset. Guided stretching and recovery sessions are also available at One Life Studio, alongside a mindful dining experience at Tyler's Café.
The initiative aims to create a space where women can step away from the constant rhythm of work and responsibilities, allowing them to slow down, move with intention, and take time without pressure.
“It has been part of the goal to create a one-stop place for all things women,” the organizers shared.
Nearby wellness spots also offer complementary services. These include nail care and massage at I Do Nails, Japanese head spa treatments at Skalp, hair services at Nora Salon, and facial treatments from Miss Esthe. For those leaning into physical recovery, sports wellness brand Phiten also features products designed to support active lifestyles.
While highlighted during Women’s Month, the wellness offerings remain available year-round for women and women at heart who are looking to carve out moments of rest amid the city’s fast pace.
Wellness coach and lifestyle journalist Stephanie Zubiri will also lead a Soulful Embodiment Soft Power workshop on March 15 as part of the initiative’s activities.
