Negros Occidentalgets back at NCR and clinches the title.

KYLE Alipoon scored late as Negros Occidental FA defeated National Capital Region FC, 1-0, on Saturday in the final of the PFF Under-19 Boys National Championship – First Division at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.

Alipoon, a late substitute, knocked in the goal in the 118th minute for NOFA in the championship match.

NOFA also avenged its 5-1 loss to NCRFA during the group stage.

A long ball by Chris Valderrama went right to Alipoon, who scored on a right-footed shot at the top corner.

NOFA’s Rohderick Rodriguez was named Most Valuable Player, John Marcellana was adjudged Best Goalkeeper and Francis Madamecilla was awarded Best Midfielder.

In the battle for third, Iloilo FA defeated SOCSCARGEN RFA, 1-0, with Selywn Mamon knocking the lone goal in the third minute.

John Jalique of the NCRFA and Selwyn Mamon of Iloilo FA were joint top goal scorers with six goals apiece.

NCRFA’s Haren De Grace was the best defender.
