THE Philippine women’s football team will be getting an acid test as they are reportedly facing Sweden in an unofficial match in Wellington, New Zealand.
The closed door match is on July 17 to be played with three, 30-minute periods at the Sweden’s base camp in Wellington, according to the official website of Swedish Football Association.

The match should be an excellent test for the Filipinas, the world No. 46, ahainst the No. 3 ranked team in the world.
Sweden also placed third in the 2019 Women’s World Cup, and was the silver medalist in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The unofficial match will also be held four days before the Filipinas open their 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup campaign against Switzerland on July 21 in Dunedin.
